The department of English of Daffodil International University organized a seminar titled, "Language Skill in a Digital Age" presented by Dr. Aisha Walker, Associate Professor Technology, Education and Learning at the University of Leeds on 22 August 2015 at DIU Auditorium. Dr. Aisha is Programme Director of the MA Technology, Education and Learning and the MA TESOL and ICT at University of Leeds, UK. She is also co-author of Technology Enhanced Language Learning: connecting theory and practice published by Oxford University Press. The English Language Specialist Prof. Claire Bradin Siskin along with participants from other universities as well enjoyed the session. Honourable Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr.M. Golam Rahman graced the occasion and presented DIU souvenir to the speaker. Prof. Tasnim Mahboob Siraj, Associate Professor, University of Dhaka and Dr. Binoy Barman, Associate Professor and Director, Daffodil Institute of Language were also present. The whole program was presided over by the Departmental Head Ms. Umme Kulsum. The participants found the presentation an effective and engaging one which was followed by an exciting question-answer session along with refreshment and later.
