Department of English, Daffodil International University organized a seminar on “Practicing EFL Reading with Web-Conferences” on 27 July, 2015 at DIU Auditorium, DT-5. It was conducted by Prof. Reima Al-Jarf, Ph. D who is a professor in the department of European Languages and Translation, College of Language and Translation, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The English Language Specialist Claire Bradin Siskin along with participants from other universities as well enjoyed the session. The whole program was presided by the Departmental Head Ms. Umme Kulsum. The participants found the presentation an effective and engaging one which was followed by an exciting question-answer session later with Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M. Golam Rahman, Pro VC and Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Professor Emeritus Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Professor Emeritus Aminul Islam, Professor Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director, International Affairs, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju Director of Students Affairs, Daffodil International University. Ms. Claire Bradin Siskin, English Language Specialist also gifted speakers, scanner and mouse to the department to enhance language teaching-learning on the occasion.
