Daffodil International University (DIU) won the three match T-20 series against United Arab Emirate’s Falcons Cricket Club (UAE Falcons Cricket Club) by 2-1 held at DIU Permanent Campus Cricket Ground today. DIU Cricket Team defeated Falcons Cricket Club by 128 runs in the deciding match today and won the series. Early in the morning Daffodil International University won the toss and elected to bat first and collected 278 runs losing 4 wickets in stipulated 20 over and restricted the visitors to a moderate 150 runs and got the victory. Sajal scored 116 and Niloy scored 97 and Sourav scored 44 on behalf of DIU Cricket Team. On behalf of UAE Falcons Cricket Club Garry scored 48, Abdullah scored 44 and Imran scored 38.Shahin Kabir of DIU Cricket team captured 4 wickets. Sajal of DIU Cricket Team adjudged as the ‘Man of the Match’.

In the first match DIU Cricket Team defeated UAE Falcons Cricket Club by 17 runs and in the second match UAE Falcons Cricket Club defeated DIU Cricket Team by 5 wickets.
Prof. Dr. Engr. A K M Fazlul Haque was present as the chief guest at the prize giving ceremony of the T20 series. Mr. Ishaque Mijee, Deputy Registrar, DIU, Md. Al Faruk, Senior Lecturer & Convener of Sports Club and Mr. Irfan Ansary, Coach cum Manager of UAE Falcons Cricket Club were also present during award presentation session.
In a formal speech of coach of UAE Falcon Cricket Club, Irfan Ansary praised the sporting facility of the field and green campus of Daffodil International University.
In a special invitation of Daffodil International University, Falcon Cricket Club, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates came to Bangladesh on July 23, 2015 to Play 3 match T20 Series and 2 one day matches from July 24-26, 2015.

Earlier Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University inaugurated the T20 series on July 24, 2015 as the chief guest while Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, DIU was present as the special guest.
Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present in the prize giving ceremony and handed over the man of the match trophy to Mr. Islam Uddin, Captain of Daffodil International University Cricket Team. Falcons Cricket Club manager handed over a crest to Md. Sabur Khan for their gratitude to Daffodil International University.
Mr. Salauddin Ahmed, coach, UKM, Malaysia and former coach of Bangladesh National Cricket Team visited Daffodil International University permanent campus, Ashulia. In an invitational visit he observed the sporting facility DIU and praised the sporting opportunity created by the DIU. He also met with the high official of the university and present in the inauguration ceremony of Daffodil International University-United Arab Emirates (UAE Falcons Cricket Club) cricket series.
