Daffodil International University Cricket Team beat Savar Cricket Academy by 3 wickets in the opening match of 1st Okapia Mobile T-20 Series 2015 sponsored by Tasnim Electronics Okapia Brand Showroom City Center, Savar held on July 5, 2015 at DIU Permanent Campus Cricket Ground.
Savar Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first and collected 133 runs within stipulated 20 over’s losing 8 wickets. In reply Daffodil International University (DIU) Cricket Team reached the target and keeping 3 wickets in hand. From Daffodil International University (DIU) Cricket Team Md. Monir Hossain scored 46 and Mahabub scored 27 runs and Champak Dewan of Savar Cricket Academy scored 43 and Sakib scored 24 runs.
Islam Uddin, Captain of Daffodil International University played a vital role in bowling. He has taken 3 wickets in 4 over and given only 13 runs along with 1 maiden over. Islam Uddin was adjudged Man of the Match.
