13th Course Project Fair (CPF) held held at Daffodil International University on June 22, 2015 at DIU Auditorium. Emeritus Professor Dr Aminul Islam was present at the closing ceremony of the Course Project Fair and distributed prizes among the winners. Presided over by Prof. Dr. Yousuf M Islam of Software Engineering Department, the function was addressed by Kaushik Sarkar, Lecturer, Software Engineering Department.
While addressing among the participants Emeritus Professor Dr Aminul Islam emphasized on the needs and benefits of the Course Project Fair. He said, this type of semester wise Course Project Fair (CPF) provides an opportunity for in-course projects to be showcased in front of both the students and the teachers of Daffodil International University. Emeritus Professor Dr. Aminul Islam was very pleased to see student’s innovative projects and appreciated the high quality work done by the students. He said that students learn a lot by doing projects in their courses. He discussed the benefit of giving in-course projects to students.

Prof. Dr. Yousuf M Islam in his presidential speech mentioned that Course Project Fair has a number of benefits like: the presenters hone their presentation skills by publicly defending their ideas and work. They feel challenged to improve their ideas and projects. Visiting students get ideas for projects and Visiting teachers feel encouraged to give projects in their courses.
At the 13th Course Project Fair 10 groups and a total of 19 students participated. Out of these, 8 groups were from the MCT Department, 1 Group from CSE Department and 1 Group from SWE Department.
Among the students, Faruk Hussain Tonmoy came up to the dias to speak on behalf the students. He spoke how he together with his group mates, Jesika Jahan Reha, Hosen Tarek and Thouhedul Islam Himel produced over 4000 stop motion frames working all hours for the "Stop Motion Animation" video showing how a carelessly dropped tissue can lead to a serious accident. This group was awarded the 1st place followed by S.M.Tauhidur Rahman (Alphabet Book with Typography) in 2nd place and Shafiqul Islam Tuser for his animation "Right Way" was awarded third place. The contribution of the in-course teachers behind the projects was also mentioned by the speakers looking for a greater participation in the next course project fair to be held in September,2015.
