The orientation program for the newly enrolled undergraduate students of Summer-2015 semester of the Department of Software Engineering (SWE) and Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT) under the Faculty of Science and Information Technology of Daffodil International University (DIU) was held today on June 15, 2015 on DIU Auditorium.
Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University (DIU) was present at the program as Chief Guest.
The function was addressed by Dr. Aminul Islam, Founder Vice Chancellor and Emeritus Professor, Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Professor Dr. Md. Golam Maowla Choudhury, Controller of Examination and Proctor, Dr. Touhid Bhuiyan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Software Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md Kabirul Islam, Professor and Head, Department of Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT) and Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs) of DIU.

Addressing as the chief guest, Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of DIU welcomed the students to choose Daffodil International University as their career path and urged the newly enrolled students to make the best use of the resources provided by the university and make them fit to the challenging job markets.
He also said Daffodil International University (DIU) creating the opportunities for the students by providing best faculties and all other facilities to pursue of making the students fit and competent. He urged the students to be an ideal human being by incorporating three major things- discipline, honesty and quality so that they become successful human being.

Addressing the speakers encouraged the newly admitted students to be more attentive and regular in the classes so that they can contribute very efficiently to the society and country and also discussed about the history of Software Engineering department at Daffodil International University and its prospects as well. They also motivated students to be more ethical and moral as they grow up and DIU will help them to be a decent human being.
