XI th Asian-Pacific Astronomy Olympiad (APAO) will be held in Bangladesh from November 13-22, 2015 at Daffodil International University Permanent Campus at Ashulia. In this regard a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Bangladesh Astronomical Association and Daffodil International University on June 14, 2015 at Russian Cultural Center. Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University and Mr. Moshurl Alam, Chairman, Bangladesh Astronomical Association signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organization. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Michael G. Gavrilov, Chairman, International Astronomy Olympiad, Mr. Alexander P Demin, Director, Russian Center of Science and Culture Dhaka, Prof. Dr. Engr. A K M Fazlul Haque, Registrar, Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director ( International Affairs) of Daffodil International University and Engr. Sukallayan Bathar, Curator, National Museum of Science and Technology of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Astronomical Association, Daffodil International University, Cultural Department, Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bangladesh and National Museum of Science and Technology will jointly organize this program, Guide Tour Ltd. will be an Associate with the event.
As per MoU Daffodil International University will provide the logistic supports like: venue for rounds, jury jobs and activities, meeting, opening ceremony and closing ceremony space during the event.
