Dr. Wendy A Garland
Dr. Wendy A Garland, specialist in the instructional strategies and effective teaching –learning methods recently joined Daffodil International University as Visiting Professor. Dr. Wendy A. Garland holds a Ph.D. in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, USA specializing in Learning and Human Resource Development with a Masters in Business Management and Finance. Dr. Garland is based out of Indonesia and provides educational consulting services and corporate training throughout Southeast Asia. Before opening her company, she was the Director of Teaching and Learning at Papua New Guinea University Technology where she implemented sustainable training and development programs.
With over 10 years of working in the financial industry, she taught mainly undergraduate business and finance classes. She provides consultancies in Education classes especially on Instructional Strategies class which focuses on ways to teach course objectives through developing engaging, action-oriented learning tasks.
Dr. Garland is passionate about ensuring that at-risk students have access to quality education and that instructors are equipped with strategic instructional strategies which promote student success in the classroom. She works with instructors, department heads, and university leadership to develop targeted training methods which results in tangible, sustainable outcomes.
