Daffodil International University started a journey of Cloud Campus using Microsoft Office -365 today on May 10, 2015, Sunday through a colorful program titled “The Power of Microsoft is Your @ no cost” held at DIU Auditorium. Daffodil International University is a pioneer institution to introduce this type of operation for the first time in Bangladesh which opened the opportunity for its students and employees. Daffodil International University has made their Microsoft Office 365 product available to all students at no cost! Employees get free access to all services except Office in the Cloud.

Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present at the program as chief guest while Sonia Bashir Kabir, Managing Director, Microsoft Bangladesh was present as the guest of Honor. Mohammad Rasheduzzaman, Partner Technology Adviser of Microsoft Bangladesh presented an overview on 0365 in the program. The function was addressed by Prof. Dr. Syed Akter Hossain, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Daffodil International University and Sarana Islam, Education Lead, Microsoft Bangladesh.
Microsoft Office 365 is a hosted suite of online collaborative services that offer Office in the Cloud, Outlook e-mail and calendaring, One Drive for document storage and sharing, Lync messaging & video and mobile connectivity.
Office 365 is to help eligible users get things done from virtually anywhere and any device. The Office 365 suite of solutions include: full-versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Access, Lync, and InfoPath. Office 365 gives one the familiarity and power of Office with the flexibility of the cloud. One’s applications and files are with his/her wherever he/she goes.
Under this program, students will be able to use Office 365 includes Office in the Cloud - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Lync, and InfoPath.
Students along with the employees can use Office 365 includes productivity and collaboration tools - Calendaring, document sharing and web meetings.
