Prof. Dr. Ahmad Ismail Mustafa
Prof. Dr. Ahmad Ismail Mustafa, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of Daffodil International University (DIU) has been elected as the “President” of the Bangladesh Chemical Society (BCS), which is the largest learned cum professional society of the country. Through an official announcement, BCS declared him as its elected “President” for the next two years and he has taken over his charge on 23rd April, 2015. It may be mentioned here that in the history of BCS, ever highest vote has been casted in favour of Prof. Mustafa.
Well reputed in the academic circles, Prof. Mustafa has served as the faculty of the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Dhaka for about 43 years. He is highly regarded as an academician owing to his outstanding contributions in teaching, research and administrative activities for the country. His intellect and diligence efforts in boosting up education sector as well as science & technology sector of Bangladesh have always been rated extraordinary. Prof. Mustafa’s luminous career was not just confined with teaching profession but he served Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) as the Chairman.
Prof. Mustafa always worked for the collective well-being of the scientific community and being actively engaged with many prestigious positions including ‘Syndicate Member’ of 5/6 public universities. He has been unanimously designated as the President of the alumni association of ‘Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering’ Department of Dhaka University.
Prof. Mustafa, throughout his profession showed that no matter what the constraints are, if someone has confidence to build-up successful multi-dimensional career, sky is the limit. Once again congratulations to Prof. Mustafa.
