Department of English, Daffodil International University organized a workshop on ‘Listening Skill’ on 21st April, 2015 at DIU Auditorium. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Sara Denne-Bolton, Regional English Language Officer (RELO), Embassy of The United States of America, which was a part of the professional development of the Faculty members. George Mesthos, Cultural Affairs Officer and Raihana Sultana, Officer, English Language Programs from The American Center, U.S Embassy, Dhaka, along with 30 participants form the Department were present there. The whole program was presided over by the Departmental Head Ms. Umme Kulsum. The participants found the workshop an effective and engaging one which was followed by a meeting later with Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M. Golam Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director, International Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Emran Hossain Director, Administration.

Daffodil International University is going to host an English Language Fellow from 15th May, 2015 and this program was prior to that concern.
