A seminar on “Grow with Management Accounting Education-Implication to Business Graduates” organized by Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business & Economics was held on April 9, 2015 (Thursday) at 11.00 am in the DIU Auditorium, Daffodil Tower (DT-5).
Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as chief guest. The special guests were Mr. Jamal Ahmed Choudhury, FCMA, Vice President, ICMAB & Chairman, Education Committee of ICMAB, Executive Director-Accounts & Finance, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd.; Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan, FCMA, Secretary, ICMAB, Additional Commissioner of Taxes, First Secretary (Tax), National Board Of Revenue (NBR) and Mr. Nikhil Chandra Shil, FCMA, Consultant, Academic Affairs, ICMAB were present as special guests.

The speakers addressed the necessity and prospects of professional accountants in the world including Bangladesh. They also mentioned how DIU graduates can enhance their employability through the knowledge of Management accounting. The speakers also mentioned the opportunities of DIU graduates at ICMAB.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Business Administration and the session was presided over by Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics.
