The orientation programme for the newly enrolled students of Spring-2015 semester of the Department of Textile Engineering of Daffodil International University (DIU) was held today on April 12, 2015 at DIU Auditorium. Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University was present at the program as chief guest.
Presided over by Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbubul Haque, Head, Department of Textile Engineering the function was addressed among other by Dr. Aminul Islam, Founder Vice Chancellor and Emeritus Professor, Professor Dr. M. Shamsul Alam, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Golam Mowla Choudhury, Controller of Examination and Md. Nazmul Azam Palash, Planning and Development Executive, Gaint Group of Industries Ltd. and ex-student from the Department of Textile Engineering (7th Batch) of DIU.

Addressing as the chief guest, Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of DIU welcomed the students to choose Daffodil International University as their career path and urged the newly enrolled students to make the best use of the resources provided by the university and make them fit for the challenging employment markets. He also said that DIU is creating the opportunities for the students by providing best faculties and all other facilities to develop the students fit and competent. He urged the students to be ideal human beings by incorporating three major things- discipline, honesty and quality so that they become successful human beings.
The program was conducted by Mostakima Mafruha Lubna, Lecturer, Department of Textile Engineering of Daffodil International University.
