Daffodil International University formally celebrated its winning the ‘Best Future
Award’ at “Electric Solar Vehicle Championship 2014-2015- at the Asia's largest solar Technology event and accorded a reception to the members of the winning tem ‘Yes You Can’ group today on April 06, 20915 at DIU Auditorium. Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University was the chief guest at the reception program. Presided over by Professor Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), the reception program was addressed by Emeritus Professor Dr. Aminul Islam, Founder Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. S M Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Golam Mowla Choudhury, Controller of Examination, Mr. Hamidul Haque Murad, Treasurer of Daffodil International University and Md. Abdullah Al Noman, Group Leader, Solar Car Project of DIU. Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of the university cut a cake to mark the celebration and distributed certificates among the members of the “Yes You Can” group of the students of CSE Department of Daffodil International University.
The "Solar Car Project” of student’s group (Yes You Can) of department of the Computer Science and Engineering at Daffodil International University won the Best Future Award in the Asia's largest Solar technology event “Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC) 2014-2015, organized by Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE) which had been held at Maharishi Markandeshwar University (MMU) Haryana, India on 16th to 19th March 2015.

A total 57 projects from India, Nepal, China, Srilanka Bhutan and Maldives took part in the competition. Besides Champion and Runner Up, 5 projects were awarded in 5 special categories like Best Future Award, Designing Award, Auto-Cross Award, Acceleration Award and Breaking Award. Md. Abdulla Al Noman, Captain of the Solar Car Project received one of the Best Captain Award.
