Daffodil International University (DIU) would like to make a partnership with the Future Leaders Ltd (The FLL), UK to introduce the need based and bespoke skills training program for DIU graduates and respective personnel’s. Both DIU and The FLL, UK have find out some common scope of work where both the agreed parties can work and operate through Career Development Center (CDC) to enhance the work force and skills capacities by skills development program (SDP). In this regard The Futures Leaders Ltd, UK and Daffodil International University signed an agreement on March 12, 2015 at VC office in DIU main campus. Syed Maruf Reza, Director Career Development Center, Daffodil International University and Mr. Nazir Alam, CEO, The FLL, UK signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. CDC, DIU & The FLL, UK will address the needs of up-scaling the capacity of the students/ members of the CDC for the local as well as international job market with need based skills training program. The skills development program is intended to enable a group or a batch of students, majorities are from DIU to take part in two key areas of training and the details are: 1. Personal development & employability (PDE) skills- Personal growth and engagement in learning, Development of personal skills and knowledge, Development of employability skills and knowledge. 2. Job-readiness skills for local and international jobs like First aid at work, health &safety, food safety, customer care services. The training program will be 20 hours in duration (segmented in different parts), once per semester in every year. The program will commence from April-2015.
According to the agreement The FLL, UK will be the main contracting body who will set out the selection criteria of participants, contents and delivery of the training and verification with certification for the same. The FLL UK, & DIU will ensure that all program activities are conducted in compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations as per memorandum of agreement (MOA).
