Nigerian student’s graduation ceremony and officially inauguration of Nigerian Students Association at Daffodil International University (DIU) organized by the office of International Affairs of DIU held on January 24, 2015 at DIU auditorium. Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University was present at the function as chief gust and congratulated the graduates. While addressing among the students he call upon the remaining foreign students to be an energetic and determined as the graduate towards their journey at DIU. He expressed his hopes that very soon DIU will establish its international campus in Nigeria. Later he handed over the crest and certificate among the graduates.

The function was addressed by Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. S. M. Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Professor Dr. Shamsul Alam, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr. M. Fokhray Hossain, Director (International Affairs), Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs) and Mr. Md. Maruf Chowdhury, Senior Administrative Officer of DIU. The function was conducted by Ahmad Kabo Idris from BSS in JMC and Fatima Danjuma Kolo from Pharmacy Department. The function was ended by presenting an African and Nigerian documentary, followed by fashion show with their cultural dance and a farewell speech by the graduates.

5 Nigerian students completed their graduation from different Departments of Daffodil International University in Fall-2014 semester. Students are Ahmad Kabo Idris (BSS in JMC), Abubakar Inuwa Yahaya (LLB-Hons), Ashiru Garba Abdullahi (M.Sc. in ETE), Mohammed Attahir Salisu (M.Sc. in ETE) and Yusuf Rabiu Abdullahi(MBA). It may be mentioned that at present a total of 60 students from Nigeria are studying in different departments of Daffodil International University
