Daffodil International University introduced “Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development” - a 4 year (Honors) program, the first of its kind in Bangladesh from Spring 2015 semester. To uphold the details of the program among the people of the country through journalists a ‘Meet the Press’ on “Introducing Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development program” was held today on January 03, 2015 at 3.00pm at VIP Lounge of National Press Club.
Prof. Dr. M. Golam Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Acting Vice Chancellor), Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest. Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahaboob Ali, Faculty of Business and Economics of Daffodil International University and specialist on Entrepreneurial activities presented the keynote paper at the ‘Meet the Press’ program. The meet the press was also addressed by Prof. Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs), Mr. Masum Iqbal, Head Department of Business Administration..
Speakers argued that Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development has immense potentialities as after completion of the degree, students can easily transformed to core human capital. They become self employed rather than job seekers.
Bangladesh intends to become the Middle Income country by 2021. To achieve the target, Bangladesh has to create employment opportunities. Ensuring more employment generation is feasible mainly through creation of entrepreneurship. To expedite the process, through offering Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development Program under Department of Business Administration, Daffodil International University (DIU) has come forward with great initiative to support young potential minds to become an entrepreneur. Young entrepreneurs who will cater the need of the society will not depend on others for job.
