Daffodil International University (DIU) signed bilateral Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) on International Partnership Programmes with eleven different International universities at 13th Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF) 2014 held from October 22-25, 2014. The conference is hosted by the Christian University of Thailand at Nakhon Pathom Province, one of the most beautiful metropolitan of Bangkok in Thailand. The theme of this year’s conference is ““Transcultural Challenges for Innovation in Higher Education”. A three members delegate comprising Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor and Mr. Md. Emran Hossain, Director (Administration) of Daffodil International University participated at 13th Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF) 2014.
Daffodil International University signed MOU and international collaboration with Christian university of Thailand, Calvin University of Korea, Central Nicole State University of Philippines, Build Bright University of Cambodia, Widyatama university, Bandung, Indonesia, University of Gorontalo, Indonesia, Saint Mary’s University,Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, STMIK Potensi Utama Medan, Siam University, Thailand, Rangsit University, Our lady of Fatima University, Philippines and many others. Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University signed the MOU on behalf of the university.
These separate bilateral agreements aims and form of co-operation on: Exchange students, Exchange Faculty Members, Exchange in Research, Twinning Programmes and Centers of Excellence. Through these MOU, Daffodil International University students will get the opportunity to enjoy lot of international collaboration such as branch campuses, cross-border collaborative arrangements, programs for international students, establishing English-medium programs and degrees
Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees represented DIU and he presented its views on the development of higher education in Bangladesh, the experiences of the university in developing undergraduate and post graduate degrees and the university's he signed 16 MOUs on behalf of DIU. 72 Top University Presidents from Asia joined this great gathering. and Christian University of Thailand, created a delightful environment for university presidents and leaders of various institutions and organizations to interact and exchange collaborations.
To cope with the global academic environment Daffodil International University is gradually adopting and upgrading its policies and practices by joining hands with different international organizations to facilitate its students and as a part of this phenomenon DIU has joined the 22 years celebration of AUPF 2014.
