Professor Chalermchai Boonyaleepun, President, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) welcomes Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University while visiting Srinakharinwirot University (SWU). Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Mr. Md. A three member delegates from Daffodil International University lead by Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, visited Srinakharinwirot University (SWU), Thailand on October 22, 2014 to create employment opportunity for urban poor through Social Enterprise and Community Engagement. Professor Chalermchai Boonyaleepun, President, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) welcomed the delegates. The other members of the delegates were Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Mr. Md. Emran Hossain, Director (Administration) of Daffodil International University.     

In the meeting both University discussed possible sides of mutual cooperation like create employment opportunity for urban poor through Social Enterprise and Community Engagement, , Exchange students, Faculty development, Online learning, Exchange in Research and educational Quality Assurance. As per discussion DIU will initiate projects for development of urban poor through Social Enterprise and Community Engagement in collaboration with Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) which will play a vital role to eradicate poverty alleviation.

Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees represented Daffodil International University and presented its views on the development of higher education in Bangladesh, the experiences of the university in developing undergraduate and post graduate degrees.

Professor Chalermchai Boonyaleepun, President, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) encouraged that research should be done in areas that promote "nation building activities". He suggested that a Memorandum of Agreement be drawn up to promote collaborative activities between the two universities.
