Special foundation class for newly enrolled students of Fall-2014 Semester of Daffodil International University was held on September 6, 2014 at DIU auditorium.

This day long program was divided into three parts respectively “Art of Living”, “Career Mentoring Session”, & Learning session on “Road Safety & Social Engagement of Students”. Art of living session was conducted by Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director, Students’ Affairs and Career Mentoring Session was conducted by Mr. Syed Maruf Reza, Director, Career Development Center (CDC) of the university.

Students were able to learn about how to change their superstitious way of thinking & coming Out of the Box, Learning to Learn, Parents-Life & Living, Personal Behavior & professionalism, Self Esteem & You, Essential skills for 21st century.

The session on “Road Safety & Social Engagement of Students” was facilitated by country’s renowned actor and Chairman of ‘Nirapad Sharak Chai’ Mr. Ilias Kanchan. Newly admitted students for Fall Semester 2014, participated in this session with great enthusiasm and shared their views. Mr. Kanchan, advised the participants to use foot over bridges, especially to be more careful while crossing the roads. Participants made a promise to be aware and to make people aware about the traffic rules and regulation to save life.

He advised the students to love their own life, not only for themselves, but also for their family, society and for the country. Finally, Mr. Kanchan urged to create massive campaign and increase public awareness about safe road; and he expressed his great confidence and belief that our young generation can make this movement successfully.

About 200 newly admitted students from different    departments were present in the class.
