To develop entrepreneurial skill and to build the entrepreneurial capacity of students of Daffodil International University, Daffodil Group and project submitters of E2K-DCCI from different universities Daffodil International University organized International Seminar on “Sustainable SME Development and Creating New Entrepreneurs in Bangladesh” today on April 29, 2014 at DIU Auditorium. Enterprise Competitiveness Institute of Daffodil International University, Bangladesh, the Commonwealth Environmental Investment Platform (the CEIP), UK and Ice Start Up Pvt. Ltd. India have Jointly organized the seminar.

Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Chairman, Enterprise Competitiveness Institute of Daffodil International University & E2K - Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( DCCI) graced the occasion as the chief guest while Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the special guest.
Mr. Michael Sippitt, Chairman, the Commonwealth Environmental Investment Platform (The CEIP), UK was present in the seminar as the keynote speaker. Mr. Shankar Rele, CEO, Ice Start UP, India, Mr. Sukamal Sinha Choudhury, SME Faculty Consultant, BIBM & Bangladesh Bank delivered their speech as the guest of honor in the seminar. The seminar was conducted by Tahsina Yeasmin, Lecturer of Department of English.

Addressing as the chief guest Md. Sabur Khan said, Daffodil International University is going to introduce Business Incubator within two months for providing logistic supports to its students to become entrepreneur. Every year two million graduates are passing out from different educational institutions, of them only .2 million are employed and the rest 1.8 millions remain jobless. He said, Money doesn’t matter to become a entrepreneur rather youths should come forward more with their innovative and noble ideas with spirit of honesty. Bangladesh has a great opportunity for providing services and young talents of the country will be able to grooming up the country very quickly becoming a successful entrepreneur. Md. Sabur Khan, urged Bangladesh Bank and other commercial Banks to come forward to provide collateral free finance among the young entrepreneurs.
Around 5oo students of different public and private universities attended the seminar and joined in question and answer session followed by the seminar.
