Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was awarded by Russian Centre of Science & Culture in Dhaka for his immense contribution to the noble cause of strengthening Russia-Bangladesh relations of friendship, understanding and mutual respect at its 40th Anniversary held on March 28, 2014.
Alexander G Chesnokov, deputy head of its head office in Moscow ROSSOTRUDNICHESTVO” – (Federal agency for affairs with Commonwealth of Independent states Compatriots Residing abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation) was present as chief guest and handed over the award. Architect Yeafesh Osman, state minister for science and technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Alexander A Nikolayev, ambassador of Russian Federation to Bangladesh were present as special guests on this occasion.

A colourful program was held at Russian Center of Science & Culture in Dhaka on Friday, 28 March to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Russian Center of Science & Culture in Dhaka. The program was attended by members of Bangladesh-Russia Friendship Society, Soviet/Russian Alumni association, University professor and cultural activists, Russian language students; Russian compatriots in Dhaka, Russian Embassy diplomats, media personalities as well as representatives from RCSC affiliated partner clubs & organizations.
