Textile Engineering Department won the title of DIU Sports Day 2014 Inter Department Cricket Tournament consequently third time beating new comer of the tournament Ashulia Permanent Campus by 5 wickets in the final match held today at Kalabagan play ground organized by DIU Sports Club. Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University inaugurated the final match early in the morning as the chief guest. Professor Dr. M. Mizanur Rahamn, Treasurer, Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Director (Permanent Campus), Mr. Md. Emran Hossain, Director (Administration), Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahaman, Director (Student Affairs), Mr. Ishaq Miji, Deputy Registrar, Prof. Dr. Md. Mahabubul Haque, Head, Department of Textile Engineering,), Mr. Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Assistant Director (PR), Mr. Md. Manjurul Islam, Convener of the DIU Sports Club and other high officials were present and enjoyed the final match.

Winning the toss Permanent Campus team decided to bat first and collected 139. In reply, Textile Engineering Department chased the target losing only 5 wickets.
