Daffodil International University organized Certificate Awarding Ceremony for the participants of Asia Summer Program - 2013 from Daffodil International University on Wednesday 20 November 2013 at DIU Auditorium, Sobhanbagh Dhanmondi.
His Excellency Lee Yun-young, Honorable Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Korea distributing the certificates among the participants of Asia Summer Program -2013 from Daffodil International University at DIU Auditorium.
His Excellency Lee Yun-young, Honorable Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Korea graced the occasion as Chief Guest while Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, President, Dhaka Camber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) & Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present as Guest Honour. Presided over by Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University the function was addressed by Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director (International Affairs) and Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam. Among the participants Aftab Hossain of JMC Department and Forhad Ahmed of MTCA Department shared their experience at Asia Summer Program 2013.

Addressing as the chief guest His Excellency Lee Yun-young said, the relationship and cooperation between Korea and Bangladesh will be more strengthen in near future. Through this program DIU students got an opportunity to learn experience of cross cultural communication, personal soft skill development, Confidence building, Career enhancement as well as mutual friendship among the participating countries, he added.

Mr. Md. Sabur Khan in his address informed that more than 30 students will get the opportunity to participate in next Asia Summer Program to be held in University of Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP) in 2014. Daffodil International University will organize a national summer camp in Bangladesh in 2014 in collaboration with Jahangirnagar University and participants from other public and private universities of Bangladesh, he added.

Later His Excellency Lee Yun-young, Honorable Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Korea handed over the certificates among the participants. A gala cultural program performed by the local and foreign students of Daffodil International University was organized by DIU Cultural Club.
It is reported that 11 DIU students participated a credit-based program offering innovative prospect of Asia titled Asian Summer Program (ASP) 2013 under Dongseo Asian Initiative Program supervised by Professor Dr. Yousuf M. Islam held at Bushan in July 2013.
