With a view to make collaboration with Daffodil International University a high powered delegates from Macquarie University Australia visited Daffodil International University today and hold a discussion for possible MOU signing. Mr. Michael Aust, International Regional Manager of Macquarie University led the delegation. The other members of the delegation were Mr. George Tomossy, Director of Learning and Teaching of Macquarie University and Mr. Tanveer Shaheed, Senior Country Manager (International).

Prof. Dr. M. Mizanur Rahman, Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Director (Studies), Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahabub-Ul- Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. M. Golam Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Prof. Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director (International Affairs), Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director (Students affairs) and other high officials of Daffodil International University were present in the meeting. In the meeting both university discussed regarding possible sides of mutual cooperation like student exchange, PHD degree, one semester to two year exchange program, organizing workshops, joint journal publishing etc. Both the university expressed their hope to sign a MoU by the end of December 2013.

 

Under this agreement DIU students and teachers will get opportunity to study and research in Macquarie University.

After the meeting the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University and shared outcomes of the meeting.

It may be mentioned here that Macquarie University Australia is one of the top ranked renowned university in Australia established in 1964. It is a government university who had 38 thousand students of which 11 thousand are international students.
