Department of Public Health of Daffodil International University organized a seminar on “Prospects of Public Health Education in Bangladesh” at College of Nursing in Dhaka Medical College Hospital on November 03, 2013 to create awareness about the role of Public Health Education.

Presided over by Ms. Jacinta A Gomes PhD, Principal (In-charge) College of Nursing, the seminar was addressed by Dr. Bellal Hossain, Associate Professor, Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering and Dr. Md. Shahjahan, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Public Health of Daffodil International University. More than one hundred B.Sc (Nursing) graduates and faculties of the college attended in the seminar.
Speakers in the seminar have underscored the need for skilled nurse to improve the entire public health condition and medical treatment of the country. They also said that nursing services are component of health systems that is very important to society and nurses can provide the majority of the care included in the basic package of clinical and public health services. They highlighted the importance of MPH program in DIU like to the credit hour structure topics of the program.
