Prof. Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque
Prof. Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque joined as Registrar of Daffodil International University on November 01, 2013. Before joining this position he had been serving as the Professor & Head of the Department of Natural Sciences of Daffodil International University. He joined Daffodil International University as Adjunct Professor in CSE Department of Faculty of Science and Information Technology on February 01, 2011. Earlier he served as Director, Atomic Energy Centre, Dhaka (AECD) and as Head of Accelerator Facilities Division of AECD. He had thirty three years of research experience in Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC). He served as `Philips Research Fellow’ in the department of Applied Physics and Electronics of Dhaka University. He has been regularly supervising Ph. D, M. Phil, and M. Sc theses. He obtained M Sc in Applied Physics and Electronics from Dhaka University in 1976 and Ph. D in Physics (Nuclear Technology) from Jahangirnagor University in 2002. He had been graduated in Electrical Engineering (B. Sc Engg) from IEB in 1982.
Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain handing over the charge of Registrar to Prof. Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque. Mr. Md. Mominul Haque Majumder, Director ( Finance& Accounts) and other high officials were also present during hand over and take over ceremony.
Prof. Hoque has more than twelve years of experience of organizing national and international training courses, conferences, symposium, workshops, etc. He has a total of 54 (fifty four) research papers in his credit, of which 22 are journal papers, 22 are conference papers and 10 are institutional research reports.
He is an elected Central Council Member of IEB for the terms 2011- 2012 and 2013- 2014. He is the General Secretary of Bangladesh Electronics Society (BES) since 2000 and Member of Asian Committee for Future Accelerator (ACFA) since 2004. He was the Vice President of Bangladesh Physical Society (BPS) during 2010 and 2011. He was born in 1953 at village Patira of Fulbaria Upazila under Mymensingh district.
