Presided over by Professor Dr. M. Mizanur Rahman, Acting Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University, the seminar was addressed by Professor Dr. M. Zakir Hossain, Director (Studies), Professor Rafiqul Islam , Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Advisor, Department of Real Estate and Mr. Mohammed Sakhawat Hossain, ACMA, Head, Department of Real Estate. At the beginning of the seminar, Md. Shahadat Hossain, student of Real Estate Department gave a multimedia presentation of over all real estate sector of Bangladesh in comparison to developed countries.

In observance of the day an Essay competition on “ Problems and prospects of Real Estate sector in Bangladesh was held among the students of Different colleges of Dhaka City where Jannat E Jahan of Viqarunnessa Noon School & College became Champion while Md. Tanvir Shahed of Notredame College and Julfa Mahreen Arpita became 1st Runner Up and 2ND Runner Up respectively.

Addressing as the chief guest Architect Iqbal Habib said, 44 percent people in the capital are still deprived from housing facilities which is very alarming for the country. Real Estate companies provide housing facilities only for 14 percent people of upper class society. He stressed on to properly utilize the `Urban Hydro Ecological’ facilities for sustainable city life. He urged the students to realize the present scenario of real estate sector and try to contribute to mitigate the problems with innovative ideas and serve the nation acquiring proper education.
