16 June 2013, at Daffodil International University head of the RCSC in Dhaka participated in the programme, dedicated to 5-year anniversary of founding of students council.
Representatives of the RCSC in Dhaka were invited as guests of honour, as the Russian cultural centre is a friendly partner organization for the University.
The event was attended by the rector of Daffodil University Professor Mohammad Lutfar Rahman, Dean of the faculty of social sciences of Mohammad Golam Rahman and other professors of University.
During the ceremonial part was marked achievements of student council in development of social activity of students of the university, the rector and teachers noted a big contribution of the Soviet Union in the struggle for the independence of Bangladesh and the need to maintain good and friendly relations with Russia.
The head of the RCSC handed over to the president of student council Syed Rayhan ul Islam a memorable gift, including text book for learning Russian language, DVD-disks «Sword and Zlatnik» and «Museums of Moscow» and also invited students and teachers of university to visit RCSC and to discuss possibility of preparation of joint programmes, in particular the festival of Russian and Bangladeshi films.
After solemn part students prepared a colourful cultural programme which included national songs and dances, as well as theatre of miniatures.
The event was held in a friendly atmosphere, students and teachers of University have expressed interest in organization of joint programmes with the Russian cultural centre.
The program of activities was planned for the entire academic day from 12 to 17 o’clock; the event generated considerable interest among the students and teachers of university. In total about 150 students took part in the programme.
