distributing prizes among the winners of ‘3rd DIU Photo Exhibition-2013’

 

Focusing on “Digital & Mobile Photography” Daffodil International University Photographic Society organized ‘3rd DIU Photo Exhibition-2013’ at DIU Auditorium. The program included Photo competition, exhibition and workshop.

Mr. S. M. Altaf Hossain, Managing Director & CEO, Drik ICT Ltd was present as the chief guest at the closing and Award giving ceremony. 50 selected photographs of different categories like: Life Style (Daily Life), Portrait, Landscape/Nature, Still Life/Abstract took part in the competition and was exhibited. Mr. S.M. Abdur Razzak, Moderator, DIU Photographic Society presided over the function. Conducted by Farzana Dalia of Multimedia Technology and Creative Arts Department the award giving ceremony was also addressed by Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs), Dr. Binoy Borman, Head, Department of English, Mr. Mahbub Parvez, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Business & Economics, Mr. Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Assistant Director (Public Relations) and Adib Rahman, President, DIU Photographic Society. The exhibition was open for visitors from 9.am to 5pm.   

The photographs of A.S.M. Morslinul Islam (Arup) of BBA Department titled “Nirghum Shadhinata” won the first prize. Photograph of Md. Abdullah of BBA Department title “ Air Spy” won the second prize and photograph of Md. Ariful Haque of MBA Program title “ Journey of Life” won the third prize in the competition. The photograph titled” Symbol of Joy” of Farzana Dalia of Multimedia Technology and Creative Arts Department won the best Photograph in viewers choice.

Addressing as the chief guest Mr. S. M. Altaf Hossain, Managing Director & CEO, Drik ICT Ltd appreciated the organizers for the Exhibition and congratulated the participants and assured of providing necessary logistic support to speed up the activities of the society and other relevant activities. He stressed on the necessity of innovation as well as creativity while photography and urged the students to come forward with professional attitude.
