The orientation program for the newly enrolled undergraduate students of Spring -2013 semester at Permanent Campus of Daffodil International University at Ashulia was held on February 11, 2013 at Permanent Campus Auditorium. Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest in the orientation program.
Presided over by Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Director of Permanent Campus the function was also addressed among others by Dr. Aminul Islam, Emeritus Professor, Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahbub-Ul- Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Golam Mawola Chowdhury, Proctor and Controller of Examination, Professor Dr. Zakir Hossain, Director of Studies Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Mahabubul Haque, Head, Department of Textile Engineering.
The Orientation program included introduction session, presentation session, briefing session and cultural session. Earlier the newly enrolled students were welcomed with a rose and tuberose.
Addressing as chief guest, Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor, Daffodil International University urged the newly enrolled students to make the best use of the resources provided by the university and make them fit to face the challenges of the 21st century.
He said that Daffodil International University is doing well in all respects. Commitment, transparency and quality of education made the university renowned. DIU provides its students with many facilities to pursue their studies and hone their skills.
Urging the students to be an ideal human being he said that three major things - discipline, honesty and quality can make life successful. To be an ideal citizen of the country he advised the students to achieve these virtues.
It may be mentioned here that Daffodil International University started its academic operation from this semester.
