Country’s first and only Department of Multimedia Technology and Creative Arts of Daffodil International University observed “1st year celebration” program on February 3, 2013 at DIU Auditorium.
Professor Dr. M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University was present in the program as the chief guest. The function was presided over by Mr. Md. Zaidul Karim , Head department of MTCA. Creative Film Maker Mr. Mostafa Sarwar Faruki, Actor Mosharraf Karim, Actress Jui Karim, Head of program Banglavision Mr. Shamim Shahed were present in the program as the special guest. The program was followed by art exhibition and cultural function where the students staged drama, dance, fashion show and music.
Addressing as the chief guest Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman said, Multimedia Technology and Creative Arts program features a blend of digital technologies and creative arts, and provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of multimedia design, production, management and evaluation, and focuses on the integration of theory and technology and their practical application by teams for industry projects.
“Digital Bangladesh transformed the information age in Bangladesh which has spanned the digital media revolution. Different business sectors and consumers including the rural population are being introduced to information in a digital form through interactive text, images, animation, sound and video. The demand has grown and this new form of multimedia is increasing at a rapid pace in Bangladesh”, he added
He also said “This also creates demand for artists, designers, animators, video production personnel and multimedia authors, who can create, design and produce content for this new Digital Bangladesh revolution. B.Sc. in Multimedia Technology and Creative Arts at Daffodil International University will definitely add to this a pool of creative talents for the future needs of Digital Bangladesh.”
