Md Zafur, Kazi Shaifur & Minoty Chakma the bright mooters of Dept of Law, Daffodil International University at the 8th   Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition-2012.

The most prestigious competition in law arena is the Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition among law students in South Asia. Students are required to prepare both a prosecution and a defense case involving several defendants accused of committing genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. International Committee for Red Cross (ICRC) and Dhaka University jointly organized the three-day competition. The judges for the competition included sitting and retired judges of the High Court Division, eminent jurists, practicing lawyers and barristers who have special knowledge on International Humanitarian Law.

With great pride we are sharing that for the first time Daffodil International University, Law Department participated in this prestigious & research based competition, 8th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition 2012 in Dhaka University held at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban Auditorium from 13th September to 15th September.  Daffodil International University Law Department team participated along with 18 private and public universities where DIU team stood 3rd position (scored 69.83). Our nearest contestant was BRAC University Law dept, which stood 4th position (scored 69.67). The champion team was Dhaka University, Law department.

Attending first time our achievement is more than we had expected. DIU congratulate Md Zafur, Kazi Shaifur & Minoty Chakma the bright mooters of Dept of Law, Daffodil International University.
