Workshop on TV News Presentation at DIU
A workshop on television news presentation was held at Daffodil International University (DIU) in the capital yesterday. The workshop being held at the Virtual Classroom of the university was conducted by a bunch young and enthusiastic news presenter from leading television channels of the country.
Organized by DIU Communication Club, the workshop gave the university students an opportunity to interact with the working journalists and other resource persons, which would help the students in their academia and profession.
Nadira Ashraf from Diganta Television, Farabi Hafiz, Nusrat Jahan and Mahbubul Haque Osmani from Channel 24 and Monirul Islam from Somoy Television had shared their experiences of working on air in different segments of the workshop. The speakers also gave the participants a basic idea on news and news presentation and its contemporary practice in the country.
The workshop also had a segment of open-floor discussion of the workshop conductors with the participants. The participants took part in an audio-visual demonstration of news presentation at the workshop. Later they were honored with certificates by the Club. Students from the department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Pharmacy, BBA, English took part at the workshop along with the members of the faculty of the host department.
