Rovers organized two day long Internet Jamboree and hold on Community service projects

Daffodil International University Air Rover Unit organized two day long Internet Jamboree and community service projects on August 04-05, 2012. All the Rovers of the University took part in two day long Internet Jamboree at the main Computer lab of the university and conducted a program to create awareness to use the foot over bridge and abide by the traffic rules among the passer by. They stood on both the sides of the Mirpur Road at Dhanmondi area with play card and displaying different slogans on traffic rules and helped the traffic police to reduce traffic jam.
The two day long program concluded wit Scout Own and Iftar Party where Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest and Group Captain Syed Shakil Ali, Commissioner, Dhaka District Air Rover was present as the special guest. Presided over by Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Deputy Leader of DIU Air Rover Unit the function was addressed by Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Registrar, Flight Lt.Abdul Mumih Chowdhury, Secretary, Dhaka District Air Rover, Fatlul Islam Pasha, Assistant Director, Community Service of Bangladesh Scout and Farhana Rahman Setu, PRS, Bangladesh Scout.
Addressing as the chief guest Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman said, Scouting can play a vital role in developing career and building character of a student though which students can practice of becoming a successful leader and contribute a lot to the society. He also said, introducing Rover Movement at the university, Daffodil International University has set an example to be followed by other private universities. He urged the students to be more active and participative in rover movement.
Addressing as the special guest Group Captain Syed Shakil Ali, Commissioner, Dhaka District Air Scout said, Scouting teaches the rovers how to lead a disciplined life and help to grow leadership.
He urged the Rovers to follow and abide by the rules of Scout Motto which will help them to build themselves as a complete human being and inspire them to serve to mankind. He also said, introducing Rover Movement at the university, Daffodil International University has set an example to be followed by other private universities.
