Daffodil International University organized a “One Day Camp” for Rovers

DIU Air Rover Unit of Daffodil International University organized a day long “One Day Camp” at BAF Shaheen College last Friday. Group Captain Syed Shakil Ali, Commissioner, Dhaka District Air Scout was present at the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the rovers.
Presided over by Mr. Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Deputy RSL DIU Air Rover Unit the program was attended by Flt. Lt. Abdul Mumit Chowdhury, Secretary, Dhaka District Air Scouts and Mr. Fatlul Haque Pasha, Assistant Director, Community Development, Bangladesh Scout. Early in the morning the day long camp was inaugurated by Flight Lt. Abdul Mumit Chowdhury, Secretary, Dhaka District Air Scout.

The training was conducted by Mr. Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Deputy RSL DIU Air Rover Unit in association with Thunder Cats Girls in Air Rover group RSL Farhana Rahman Shetu, Savor Girls in Air Rover Unit RSL Marzana Akter Rekha, Tiger Shark Senior Rover Meet Rabbi Ali Khan, Rover Meet Rajon, Seju, Rupom, Tahsin Rahman Abir, Mamun, Musa, Shakhar and Fyzul. The training camp included crew meeting, scout training, hiking, visit to Air Force Museum, tree plantation, quiz competition and cultural program. This is for the first time in the history of Private universities of Bangladesh to introduce Rover Movement at Daffodil International University.
Addressing as the chief guest Group Captain Syed Shakil Ali, Commissioner, Dhaka District Air Scout said, Scouting can play a vital role in developing career and building character of a student though which students can practice of becoming a successful leader and contribute a lot to the society. He urged the Rovers to follow and abide by the rules of Scout Motto which will help them to build themselves as a complete human being and inspire them to serve to mankind. He also said, introducing Rover Movement at the university, Daffodil International University has set an example to be followed by other private universities.
A total of 60 boys and girls in Rover attended the camp. It is declared that Daffodil International University is going to introduce a girl’s Rover Unit very soon.
