Dhaka, Bangladesh - November 13, 2023: The “Oitijjer Hat” was held today (November 18, 2024) for the third time bringing all famous products of 64 districts of Bangladesh under one umbrella organized by Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This flagship event was launched in 2022 under the banner of Branding Bangladesh, titled ``Oitijjer Hat'' to promote indigenous culture and heritage and at the same time inspire students as entrepreneurs. The event was organized in line with celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week-2024 in Bangladesh from November 18-24, 2024. Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman. Vice-Chancellor, Daffodil International University inaugurated the program as the chief guest at university's Green Campus at Birulia, Savar, Dhaka. Prof. Dr. S M Mahabub Ul haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship, K M Hasan Ripon, National Host of Global Entrepreneurship Week- Bangladesh and Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Head, Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

This year the “Oitijjer Hat” is being organized in line with the celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024. from 18 to 24 November 2024, of which this special event is one of the highlights. “Oitijjer Hat” is a platform where heritage, culture and business ideas come together to open up new possibilities for students. It showcased the heritage of Bangladesh in the world as well as awaken the dream of entrepreneurship among the young generation.

Based on the theme "Removing Barriers and Welcoming All," Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Daffodil International University is celebrating Global Entrepreneurship week-2024 in Bangladesh from 18-24 November 2024 in line with global celebration spanning 200 countries, with over 40,000 events and an expected reach of 10 million people worldwide. In Bangladesh, 300 events will be hosted across the country through 50+ partner organizations and inspire an incredible 100,000 youth directly and 3 million digitally. The organizers hope that the week-long event will bring together the country's startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, consultants, investors and enthusiastic participants into a meeting place.
