Guests along with the Participants of 17th Oath Camp, organized by Daffodil International University Air Rover Scout Group at Regional Training Cente, Puler Hat in Jessore district.
To enrich the knowledge in scouting and enhance the Rovers leadership qualities in various practical and theoretical aspects a week long (9-15 July 2024) 17th Oath Camp and 10th and 11th course for Rover Met of the DIU Air Rover Scout Group were held at Regional Training Center at Puler Hat in Jessore district. The members of the DIU Air Rover Scout Group are contributing to the development of the country and the nation by serving with their skills and abilities. Throughout the week-long camp, activities like purification, initiation ceremony, group meetings, hiking, nature observation, scout law, campfire, and closing ceremony were conducted. Selected topics, such as organizational structure, transparency, journalism, secretarial science, photography, career planning, and manners and etiquette, were provided to the Rover Scouts. During the camp, through group meetings, the Rover Scouts practiced their basic skills, such as navigation, estimation, and knotting.
Group Captain Abul Kashem Mohammad Fasal of Jossore Air District of Bangladesh Scouts was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Oath Camp. Squadron Leader Gazi Mohammad Salauddin, Secretary, Jossore District Air Rover, Leader Trainer A F M Ashafuddoula, Vice President, Khulna Region of Bangladesh Scouts and Md. Shafiqul Islam, Deputy Commissioner (Program), Air Region of Bangladesh Scouts were present as the special guests. Farhana Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (Program) Air Region of Bangladesh Scouts and Rover Scout Leader of DIU Air Rover Scout Group performed as the Camp Chief and Nazmul Hassan (PRS & Wood Badger), Executive Member of Air Region of Bangladesh Scout and Rover Scout Leader of DIU Air Rover Scout Group associated in all respect in organizing the camp.
While addressing among the rovers the chief guest praised the Rover Scouts and emphasized the need for smart citizens to build a Smart Bangladesh. He expressed hope that the Rover Scouts would play a leading role in achieving the government's vision of a prosperous and advanced Bangladesh by 2041. He also commended the DIU Air Rover Unit for its commendable work in various tasks.
The other speakers at the grant campfire (Ta'abu Jalsa) event highlighted the importance of providing training to Rover Scouts through initiation ceremonies. They believed that by embracing BP's principles, the Rover Scouts would actively contribute to creating a beautiful world for all. They appreciated the commendable performances of the DIU Air Rover Scout Group and encouraged them to continue their efforts in the coming days.
