The 14-day-long‘ Swinburne's Study Tour 2024: The Digital and Mobile Storytelling Festival in Bangladesh’ kicked off today on July 02, 2024 at the Daffodil International University (DIU) with a group of 22 students, along with two faculty members from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia 🇦🇺. Swinburne’s Study Tour2024 will continue till 14 July 2024.

The Swinburne’s Study Tour team was gracefully welcomed in the opening session by Professor Dr. S M Mahabub Ul Haque Mazumder, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University. Faculty members, students and coordinating officials from both universities were present at the welcome ceremony. The Welcome ceremony was also addressed by Professor Susan Kerrigan, Department Chair of Film, Games, and Animation,Swinburne University of Technology, Australia and Max Schlesere, Associate Professor, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, Professor Dr. Liza Sharmin, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director of International Affairs, Aftab Hossain, Assistant Professor & Head and Dr. Md. Abdul Kabibl Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Journalism, Media and Communication of Daffodil International University.

After exploring the beautiful green campus they joined in different sessions on ice-breaking, Language & Culture of Bangladesh conducted by Ms. Samiha Khan, Senior Lecturer of Development Studies Department followed by a workshop on Mobile Journalism.

The Swinburne's Study Tour 2024 is funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s New Colombo Plan and jointly facilitated by the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication and Office of International Affairs of Daffodil International University.
