Daffodil International University tops in Bangladeshi Universities in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024
As per Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings results 2024 released on 12 June, Daffodil International University (DIU) has obtained top position among Bangladeshi Universities and a prestigious position in the range of 301 to 400 among 1963 universities worldwide. It is worth mentioning that DIU is placed first among 19 Public and Private Universities ranked from Bangladesh. THE Impact rankings measured the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals attained by the participated universities and ranked accordingly.
This year, DIU has set significant milestones across various SDGs. Notably, the university has ranked within the top 50 for Quality Education (SDG 4), Within the top 100 for Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Within the top 100 for Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), Within the top 100 for Partnership for the Goals (SDG 17), Within the top 200 for Gender Equality (SDG 5), within the top 300 for No Poverty (SDG 1), within the top 300 for Zero Hunger (SDG 2).
The university's achievements reflect its dedication to research projects and its organization of numerous events and activities throughout the year, all aligned with these sustainable development goals.
Furthermore, this recognition underscores DIU’s ongoing efforts to enhance teaching and learning. The university's strong collaborations with national and international organizations, as well as the Government of Bangladesh, support academic and research activities that address social, environmental, and economic issues. These partnerships are based on a collaborative philosophy supported by advanced communication technologies.
