Distinguished guests Participating Women Entrepreneurs at the closing ceremony of 16th annual Global Entrepreneurship Week Bangladesh 2023 campaign held at the picturesque Green Garden RoofTop of Daffodil Plaza at Dhanmondi in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Dhaka, Bangladesh - November 13, 2023 - The 16th annual Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign, dedicated to celebrating and empowering entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, has ended with great fervor. This significant Week was being observed from November 13th to November 19th, 2023, and was set to make a lasting impact. With the participation of over 78 partner organizations, this year's celebration featured more than 200 events spanning across 30 districts in 8 divisions throughout Bangladesh. Partner organizations encompass educational institutions, chambers of commerce, associations, government agencies, international organizations, and dynamic youth groups. More than 100,000 individuals directly participated and an additional 3 million people were reached through online connections.
The festivities officially ended today on November 19th, 2023, with the closing ceremony hosted by GEN Bangladesh following the celebration of “International Women Entrepreneurs Day 2023”. This grand gathering united startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, mentors, investors, and enthusiastic participants at the picturesque Green Garden RoofTop of Daffodil Plaza at Dhanmondi in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It may be mentioned that every year while observing ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ Saturday is celebrated as the “International Women Entrepreneurs Day”.
Joseph Giblin, Economic Unit Chief of Embassy of the United States of America was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023. Presided over by K M Hasan Ripon, the GEW National Host, the closing ceremony was also addressed by Zahida Ispahani, Chair Person of MIDAS, Dr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO, Daffodil Family and Munir Hasan, CHIEF Executive of Bangladesh Open Source Network (Bdosn).
K M Hasan Ripon, the Global Entrepreneurship Week National Host, took a moment during the ceremony to express his heartfelt gratitude to all the partners and supporters whose unwavering commitment and dedication have been instrumental in making GEW2023 a resounding success. Mr. Ripon extended his appreciation to the entire Global Entrepreneurship Week team across Bangladesh for their tireless efforts and dedication to the cause.
