Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) addressing as the chief guest at celebration program of the 15 years of Excellence of Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering of Daffodil International Univ4rsity.

Department of Nutrition & Food Engineering of Daffodil International University (DIU) commemorated its 15th anniversary with great enthusiasm and a festive mood at the Daffodil Smart City in Birulia, Savar, Dhaka. The day-long program featured a series of engaging activities, including a vibrant rally, captivating flash mob, enlightening discussion sessions, an exciting raffle draw, cultural performances, and much more.

The event witnessed esteemed personalities who graced the occasion with their presence. Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), honored the event as the chief guest. The program was presided over by Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of DIU, and included special guests such as Professor Dr. Md. Aminul Haque Bhuyan, Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Islami University, Mr. Ashek Mahfuz, Portfolio Lead of LSFF and Value Chain at Global Alliance for improved Nutrition, and Professor Dr. Md. Burhan Uddin from the Department of Food Technology and Rural Industries at BAU. Professor Dr. S. M. Mahbubul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor of DIU, graced the program as the guest of honor.

Addressing as the chief guest Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed said that economic development in Bangladesh is going very well. Bangladesh is also improving in different social indicators. Now it is high time to look at quality education. All universities of Bangladesh must ensure quality education. He said, regional cooperation was also important in this regard.

Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmedalso said that Regional cooperation needs to be enhanced to ensure the quality of higher education. He also said, we are now global citizens. We also need to develop our students as global citizens. For this, open branches, study centers, online courses, etc. have to be started in different universities, he added.

During his address to the students, Professor Mesbahuddin Ahmed emphasized the importance of utilizing their intelligence for personal growth and national development. He encouraged the students to realize their potential as creators of their own lives, empowering them to make conscious decisions about their future endeavors. Stressing the value of hard work, he urged them to strive for success and disregard worries by nurturing a positive mindset and fostering personal development.

Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman highlighted the remarkable achievements of the Department of Nutrition & Food Engineering. He acknowledged the department's consistent production of high-quality graduates who have made significant contributions to the nation.

The celebration program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 2000 students from the Department of Nutrition & Food Engineering, who joined in the festivities and expressed their pride in being part of this esteemed academic institution.
