Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Member of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh is distributing awards among the researchers at the "Research Award Giving Ceremony 2023" organized by DIU Research Division
Daffodil International University, known as the leading IT-based University of the country, celebrated a major milestone with 1000 Scopus/ISI indexed research publications and book chapters in 2022. Software Engineering Department of Daffodil International University is number one among Private Universities and number two among Public and Private Universities in Scopus/ISI indexed research publications in the year 2022. To recognize the contributions of faculty members, students, and alumni, the DIU Research Division organized the "Research Award Giving Ceremony 2023" on May 13, 2023 at the International Conference Hall of the university, Daffodil Smart City, Dhaka.
Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Member of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh was the chief guest at the program and distributed awards among the winners. While addressing among the researchers Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain urged the professors and researchers to work and publish in areas that can contribute to making Bangladesh a Smart Nation and lead it to be a developed nation by 2041.
The Founder and Chairman of the Daffodil International University Dr. Md. Sabur Khan urged upon the researchers to go for patents and create commercial outcomes and opportunities of their work. Professor Dr. M Lutfar Rahman informed that this year the university has allocated Tk. 18 crore in the research budget in this year. Nearly 92_lacs taka was distributed among the researchers as recognition of their significant number of publications in highly indexed journals. About 80 percent papers were published in Q1 and Q2 categories.
