Daffodil International University Founder and Trustee Board Chairman Dr. Md. Sabur Khan is visiting the Oitijjer Hat (Traditional Fair), Branding Bangladesh" organized by the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Daffodil International University.

Daffodil International University (DIU) hosted a special day-long event on Sunday (March 05) at the university's Green Campus at Birulia titled Oitijjer Hat (Traditional Fair), Branding Bangladesh" to inspire students to practice indigenous culture and heritage as well as entrepreneurship; Where the students of the university presented all the traditional and rural culture, food, products from different parts of the country in different stalls. The main organizer of this magnificent event was the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of DIU.

Daffodil International University Trustee Board Chairman. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, was present at the opening ceremony of the program as the chief guest. Mr. MOMINUL Haque Mazumder, Treasurer, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship Prof. Dr. Md. Masum Iqbal, Head of the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mr. Md. Kamruzzaman, along with other deans, faculty, officials and students.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said, "It's a great thing that we've been able to inspire this generation to be entrepreneurs as well as indigenous cultures," he said. “We need to nurture our heritage and culture, as well as create businesses and entrepreneurs to make ourselves economically self-sufficient in the development of the country.” He also said,  it is important for every university to make such arrangements to protect our heritage. We can never reach the heights by forgetting our roots. It is our duty to applaud this great event and to practice it regularly.

Organized by the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of DIU, this “Oitejjer Hat” fair showcases various traditional items from 64 districts of Bangladesh through 45 stalls. About 390 students simultaneously made their debut as entrepreneurs in the exhibition stall. Md. Kamruzzaman, Head of the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, said that arrangements are made to introduce various traditional materials of Bangladesh and to make the students become entrepreneurs from their educational life.

The event was associated by the Department of Business Administration, the Social Business Student Forum and DIU's clubs and general students.
