The Annual Sports Prize Giving Ceremony of Daffodil International University held today on Sunday on March 12, 2023 at the Academic Building premises. Professor Dr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Shaikh Md. Allayar, Proctor, Mr. Ishaq Miji, Deputy Registrar, Mr. Kazi Md. Diljeb Kabir,Deputy Director ( Administration), Mr. Saad Andalib Joy, Assistant Director ( Sports and Games) along with other high officials were present at the program and distributed among the winners.
While addressing among the winners Professor Dr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs said, Today Daffodil International University is in the leading position of the country due to the contribution of the players of the university. He also said, the sportsmen who have national level achievement are getting full waiver in Daffodil International University and who have international achievement in the field of sports are getting additional financial support besides full waiver. He also said, besides education, the university authority is very much concern about the physical, mental and emotional growth of the students and for that university has already developed world class standard playground, Basketball ground, Futsal, Tennis Court, Cricket Stadium, and Gymnasium for the students. Later, he distributed the prizes and Champion and Runner Up Trophy among the winners. A large number of male and female students of different departments took part in Cricket, Football, Volley Ball, Basket Ball Table tennis, Chess, Carom Ludu and Body Building. Computer Science and Engineering Department, Physical Education and Sports Science Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department showed their best performance in the Annual Sports.
