The activities of the 'Development of Advanced Security Professionals in Bangladesh' project have been inaugurated at Daffodil International University with the funding of European Union and AsiaConnect on Jaunary 06, 2023 at International Conference Hall of Daffodil International University. Daffodil International University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Lutfur Rahman inaugurated the project as the chief guest. Mohammad Taurit, Chief Executive Officer of BdREN, Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Dean, FSIT, Dr. Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar and Professor Dr. Tauhid Bhuyan, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Dffodil International University were present as the special guests.
While inaugurating the project Chief Guest Prof. Dr. M. Lutfur Rahman in his speech highlighted the need for cyber security in this era of the fourth industrial revolution and emphasized the importance of creating skilled manpower in this sector and thanked all concerned for taking the initiative to implement such a timely project. Project Principal Investigator Professor Arefin in his speech praised the steps taken by the government to build a sustainable digital Bangladesh and smart Bangladesh and emphasized on the formulation of cyber policy by prioritizing the issue of cyber security. It may be mentioned that under this project, professional training on cyber security will be held in five different locations in Bangladesh.
The professional training on cyber security are EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst (CySA+), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and CyberSAFE (Securing Assets for the end User). EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) training has already been started in Daffodil International University.
