Prof. Dr. Zakir Hossain Joined the Faculty of Business & Economics
Professor Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Former Professor of Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka joined the Faculty of Business and Economics of Daffodil International University on May 02, 2012 as a Professor in the Department of Business Administration. He did his PhD, MBA (IBA) and M.Com Mgt, B.Com (honors) from the University of Dhaka. He also did MBA from University of Sunderland, UK and PGDMS from the UK. He has 24 years of teaching, research and administrative experience at the University level at home and abroad. He started his teaching career in the Department of Management at University of Dhaka in 1987 as a lecturer and later on joined IBA in 1991 and continued there up to 2010 as Professor. Before joining Daffodil International University he served as Principal & Professor of Business at London East Bank College (An Affiliated College of London University) and London Trinity College (Edexcel Approved College).
Dr. Hossain is highly skilled in teaching, academic administration, designing and developing course curricula, assessing and verifying courses, validating courses, and moderation, etc.
He is the author of two books titled “Principles of Management” and “Organizational Behaviour” published by the School of Business, Bangladesh Open University. He has over twenty five research articles published in recognized national and international journals.
Dr. Hossain attended a good number of national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars. He is also associated with a number of professional and social organizations at home and abroad.
He has vast training and teaching experience in the field of Strategic Management or Business strategy, Organizational Behaviour, Introduction to Business and Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, International Business Studies, Financial Management, Principles of Accounting, Introduction to Economics, etc.
