FBCCI President Md. Jasim Uddin is handing over the award of 'World Book of Records' to the founder of Daffodil International University and Chairman of Daffodil Family Dr. Md. Sabur Khan in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the education and ICT sector of Bangladesh.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil International University (DIU) and Daffodil Family received the Award of ‘World Book of Records’ today on October 10, 2022 at a “Award Receiving Ceremony of World Book of Records”. World Book of Records is a UK-based organization that certifies, verifies and records extraordinary achievements around the world. This year Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder and Chairman of Daffodil International University and Daffodil Family has been felicitated by the 'World Book of Records' a UK-based organization in recognition of his outstanding performance and contribution in Education and ICT Sector of Bangladesh.
In this regard Daffodil International University organized a Award Receiving Ceremony of World Book of Records at International Conference Hall of Daffodil International University at Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka. Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin, President, Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) was present as the chief guest while Mr. Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babuwere present as the special guest in the program Dr. Diwakar Sukul, Global President of World Book of Records joined the event by video conference and President of the Bangladesh section of World Book of Records Raoman Smitha joined physically in the program.
Presided over by Prof. Dr. M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University, the program was also addressed by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder and Chairman of Daffodil International University, Professor Dr. S M Mahabub Ul haque Mazumder, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mr. Mominul Haque Mazumder, Treasurer, Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Chief Executive Officer of Daffodil Family.
Addressing as the chief guest FBCCI President Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin said that recognition of any work inspires people. We are delighted to be awarded this award to someone who continues to champion youth; the youth of the country is working tirelessly to advance the society. The steps taken by him to create 2000 young entrepreneurs while he was the president of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce in 2012, in one word, is remarkable and widely appreciated.
Better to hear he's still working on it. He also launched the Department of Entrepreneurship Development at Daffodil International University. This recognition today will encourage more new initiatives in the future. One of Bangladesh's IT and academic personality Dr. Md. Sabur Khan’s achievement of this award is also a matter of pride for us. He also said that the progress of Bangabandhu's Bangladesh today in various indicators has been made possible by the collective effort and welfare of businessmen. He emphasized the importance of universities on expanding industry-academia linkages and announced the signing of MoU between FBCCI and Daffodil International University on expanding industry-academia linkages.
Chairman of Daffodil International University and Daffodil Family Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said, my colleagues and well-wishers have contributed the most to my achievement today. Their tireless hard work and dedication inspires me to take bolder steps. Especially, during the corona pandemic, we saw many organizations where they were at a standstill, we took our normal operations online from the very first day and got success there too.
