Country’s renowned actor, director and writer Abul Hayat and Mr. Mominul Haque Majumder, Treasurer, Daffodil International University along with distinguished guests are inaugurating the ‘3rd Edvoy DIU Club Carnival-2022’ releasing balloons and pigeonat Swadhinota Sommelon Kendro of Daffodil International University at Daffodil Smart City in the capital.
32 Clubs of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized two day long ‘3rdEdvoy DIU Club Carnival-2022’ from August 28-29, 2022 at Swadhinota Sommelon Kendro of the university at Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka. Country’s renowned actor, director and writer Abul Hayatinaugurated the carnival on August 28, 2022 as the chief guest. Mr. Mominul Haque Majumder, Treasurer, Daffodil International University was present as the special guest. Presided over by Dr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director, Student Affairs of DIU, the program was also addressed by Dr. Shaikh Muhammad Allayear, Head, Department of Multimedia & Creative Technology (MCT).
Before the inaugural session, a colorful rally lead by chief guest and other distinguished guests started from campus surrounded the campus area and finally ended in front of Swadhinota Sommelon Kendro of the university. In this two-day carnival, stall display, short film competition, mobile photography competition and rural games were arranged. besides club members performed various cultural activities including dance, song, recitation, acting. In the final hour, the “Shironamhin” band and the team members of the movie 'Hawa' performed to the amazement of the academics as well.
While inaugurating the carnival addressing among the students as the chief guest Country’s renowned actor, director and writer Abul Hayat said that Daffodil International University not only provides formal education to the students, but also makes all kinds of arrangements to develop their humanity and creativity. This massive two-day event organized by the club members proves that Daffodil always encourages the creative practice of its students.
He also said that textbook education can never educate a person to face real life situation. Textbook education becomes complete only when it is accompanied by co-curricular activities. Daffodil University students are practicing these co-curricular and extra-curricular activities through 32 clubs. He expressed hope that these students will shine the name of Bangladesh in the world by practicing their creative knowledge.
