Member of the Parliament (Dhaka -17) and eminent Actor Mr. Akbar Hossain Pathan (Farooque), MP is addressing today at the discussion meeting on 44th martyre-dom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day-2019 held at Daffodil International University.
Daffodil International University (DIU) paid glowing tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking his 44th martyr-dom anniversary and National Mourning Day with due respect recalling the August 15, 1975 carnage, when Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed along with most of his family members. To mark the occasion a discussion meeting was arranged today on August 28, 2019 at the 71 Milonayoton Auditorium of Daffodil International University.

Honorable Member of the Parliament (Dhaka -17) and eminent Actor Mr. Akbar Hossain Pathan (Farooque), MP was present as the chief guest in the discussion session. Prof Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University presided over the function. The function was also addressed by Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Adviser of Finance & Accounts of Daffodil International University. Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director of Student Affairs conducted the program.
While addressing as the chief guest Mr. Akbar Hossain Pathan (Farooque), MP said that killing of Bangabandhu means killing the country and killing the independence. Actually they have been killed Bangladesh through killing of Bangabandhu. So he urged the new generation not to forgive those brutal killers.
He also said to the young students to think about the history of independence and who brought you this independence with how much it was cost. He also urged the students to work for fulfilling the dream of Bangabandhu’s Golden Bangla. Bangabandhu gave us an independent country and daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Hasina is trying to build up this country as Sonar Bangla. We all should extend our helping hand to build Sonar Bangla. He added.

The function was attended by all the Head of the Departments and Deans of different Faculties. A Large number of Faculty members, Officers, employees and students were present on the occasion.
